It is time to cut the green manure, which has been making seeds, as a mulch layer for the soil.
While the deep roots of the green manure help the soil to break up and become more airy, the mown plants will serve as a
layer of mulch, which will nourish and enrich the soil.
Plants like alfalfa are perennials and will grow back. Other plants need to be sown again the first years. After a while, there will be enough natural seeds, the soil will become alive again and we don't have to sown any seeds again.
